Yesterday, President Hakainde Hichilema met with a German business delegation led by Dr. Jan Traeckner and coordinated by Zambia’s Ambassador to Germany, Her Excellency Ms. Winnie Natala Chibesakunda. A key topic was clean coal energy and the diversification of Zambia’s energy sources to reduce reliance on hydroelectric power. The delegation explored avenues for collaboration in energy innovation and infrastructure development to support sustainable growth.
President Hichilema highlighted Zambia’s ongoing reforms aimed at creating a predictable and favorable investment environment. He noted that Zambia’s land-linked position connecting nine neighboring countries makes it a strategic hub for regional trade and industrial partnerships.
