Zambia’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, His Excellency Mr. Ivan Zyuulu, has officially presented his Letters of Credence to His Excellency Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, thereby affirming his status as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Pakistan.
The credential ceremony, held at the Presidential Palace in Islamabad, signifies a meaningful advancement in Zambia’s diplomatic engagement with South Asia. Ambassador Zyuulu’s presentation of credentials represents a strategic move to deepen bilateral relations and explore new opportunities for cooperation between the two nations.
Following the official presentation, Ambassador Zyuulu participated in a brief courtesy meeting with President Zardari. During their discussion, President Zardari reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to fostering closer ties with Zambia, particularly in sectors of shared interest such as trade, investment, and development cooperation.
Ambassador Zyuulu expressed gratitude for the warm reception and highlighted the longstanding cordial relations between Zambia and Pakistan. He emphasized Zambia’s readiness to strengthen collaboration across key areas, particularly economic partnerships that can deliver mutual benefits.
The ceremony and subsequent discussions underscore Zambia’s growing focus on reinforcing its diplomatic presence and building strong international alliances, especially in emerging markets across Asia.
