A four-member delegation from Zambia’s Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry has successfully concluded its participation in the Global Development Governance Think Tank Talent Exchange Seminar. The team returned with a renewed sense of purpose and a strengthened commitment to advancing Zambia’s national development agenda. The seminar, held over several days, brought together participants from selected African countries and international experts to exchange ideas and learn from China’s best practices in global governance and sustainable development.

The delegation was led by Ministry Principal Public Relations Officer Everness Nankala, who expressed appreciation to the seminar organizers, speakers, and fellow participants for the collaborative and enriching discussions. “This platform has been instrumental in fostering dialogue, sharing experiences, and learning from each other’s successes and challenges,” Ms. Nankala said. She highlighted that the seminar provided practical insights for improving governance and driving economic growth.

Key lessons from the seminar included the value of innovative and adaptive governance to address complex development challenges. Delegates also explored the transformative potential of technology and digitalization in promoting inclusive economic growth. Ms. Nankala noted that China’s achievements in poverty reduction, infrastructure development, and technological innovation offered valuable lessons in long-term planning, strategic investment, and institutional reform.

“The insights gained will be instrumental in shaping our development strategies at home. We are confident that this knowledge will not only benefit Zambia but also contribute meaningfully to the broader global development agenda,” Ms. Nankala affirmed. She emphasized that the seminar strengthened networks among global think tanks and experts, providing opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange.

Zambia’s participation underscores the country’s commitment to international cooperation and recognition of China’s role in global development governance. The Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry remains committed to leveraging international expertise to address domestic development challenges. The delegation looks forward to continuing collaboration with global partners to implement innovative, sustainable, and inclusive development strategies that support Zambia’s long-term growth objectives.
