Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, S.C, M.P, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Zambia, held a bilateral meeting with Hon. António Téte, Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Angola, on 26th November 2025. The meeting took place as part of Hon. Haimbe’s official programme in Angola during the 7th African Union – European Union Summit.
The discussions between the two ministers were described as warm and constructive, focusing on key issues that continue to strengthen cooperation between Zambia and Angola. Both sides explored avenues to enhance diplomatic relations, trade, and regional collaboration.
Hon. Haimbe highlighted the importance of sustained engagement between the two nations, noting that bilateral cooperation supports regional stability and economic growth. The meeting also emphasized joint initiatives in infrastructure development, cross-border trade facilitation, and cultural exchange.
Hon. Téte expressed Angola’s commitment to deepening ties with Zambia, emphasizing shared goals within the Southern African region and the African Union framework. Both ministers agreed to maintain regular dialogue to ensure continued collaboration on mutual interests.
The bilateral talks underscored the strategic partnership between Zambia and Angola, reinforcing both countries’ dedication to strengthening diplomatic, economic, and social relations in the region.
