Zambia hosted a significant diplomatic event yesterday at State House, welcoming Ambassadors and High Commissioners from nine countries to present their Letters of Credence. The representatives came from the Republic of Nicaragua, the Republic of Chad, the State of Palestine, the Republic of Serbia, the Kingdom of Denmark, New Zealand, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Czech Republic, and the Republic of Ireland.

President Hakainde Hichilema emphasized that Zambia’s foreign policy rests on two main pillars: economic diplomacy and the promotion of peace, security, and stability. He underscored the government’s commitment to leveraging these relationships to boost trade, investment, and cooperative initiatives across sectors that benefit the Zambian people.

Through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zambia aims to work closely with these nations to strengthen bilateral relations and explore mutually beneficial opportunities. President Hichilema expressed warm wishes to the diplomats for a successful tenure in Zambia, highlighting the country’s readiness to foster collaboration and partnership.

This ceremony marks a continued effort by Zambia to engage with the international community, reinforce diplomatic channels, and advance the nation’s economic and security objectives through strategic foreign relations.
