Yesterday, Zambia hosted a productive meeting with an Egyptian business delegation led by Her Excellency Mayada Essam Abdel Rahman, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Zambia, and Eng. Ahmed El Assar, Chairman and CEO of Arab Contractors Egypt.
The discussions focused on deepening bilateral relations and exploring economic and development cooperation. Key sectors targeted included energy, mining, tourism, and agriculture. Special attention was given to water harvesting technologies and waste management solutions, reflecting the shared priorities of both countries.
President Hakainde Hichilema emphasized the importance of intra-African trade. He stated that Africa must do business with itself and that Zambia and Egypt should build on their historic partnership to unlock new areas of shared growth and prosperity.
