As news of Buhari’s passing continues to reverberate across the continent, tributes have poured in from leaders, citizens, and institutions recognizing his contributions to good governance, transparency, and regional stability. In Zambia, flags were flown at half-mast in solidarity with Nigeria’s loss.
President Hichilema concluded his statement by wishing the late leader eternal peace and strength to his family, the Nigerian government, and its people during this time of grief.
