The Chipolopolo will take to the pitch this afternoon to close out their FIFA International Friendly schedule with a match against Angola’s Palancas Negras at the November 11 Stadium. Assistant coach Perry Mutapa will lead the team in the absence of head coach Moses Sichone, who is currently hospitalised.
Mutapa, alongside his assistants Noel Mwandila, Kennedy Mweene, and Joseph Musonda, has been finalising team preparations and line-up options ahead of the encounter. Goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene, acting as the team’s diving coach, will oversee the selection between Toaster Nsabata, Mangani Banda, Charles Kalumba, and Francis Mwansa.
In defence, central positions are expected to feature Benson Sakala, Frankie Musonda, and Killian Kanguluma, while wingback roles will be contested by Obinno Chisala, David Hamansenya, Mathews Banda, and Owen Mwamba. Midfield duties are likely to see Given Kalusa retain his spot following an impressive debut against South Africa, potentially joined by Gift Siame, Humphrey Bwembya, and Kelvin Mwanza depending on tactical choices.
The Chipolopolo attack will rely on skipper Fashion Sakala to lead the line in Luanda, supported by Joseph Sabobo Banda, Jack Lahne, and the pacey Albert Kangwanda.
Angola will seek a positive result to cap their 50th independence anniversary, having suffered a 2-0 loss to Lionel Messi’s Argentina in their previous friendly. The Palancas Negras attack will feature key players M’bala Nzola, Zito Luvumbo, Gelson Dala, Chico Banza, and Mabululu.
Kickoff is scheduled for 18h00 CAT, with live coverage available on ZNBC TV3. Fans can expect an intense contest as both sides aim to end their international friendly campaigns on a high note.
