President Hakainde Hichilema hosted Bhai Sahib Prof. Mohinder Singh Ahluwalia, Chairman of the Guru Nanak Nishkam Sewak Jatha (GNNSJ), and his delegation at State House yesterday afternoon. The meeting highlighted GNNSJ’s global mission of advancing peace, education, and human dignity.
Discussions focused on the organization’s work in promoting world peace, economic development, and education. Special attention was given to its efforts in school feeding programs for underprivileged children and the reinforcement of religious values as a foundation for social progress.
President Hichilema praised Prof. Ahluwalia for his past contributions to Zambia. From 1969 to 1989, Prof. Ahluwalia lived in the country, where he served as Technical Manager at the National Housing Authority. His expertise supported housing projects and infrastructure growth that shaped Zambia’s urban development during that period.
The President expressed appreciation to GNNSJ for its continued commitment to uplifting communities worldwide. He emphasized Zambia’s long-standing tradition of inclusivity and openness, noting that partnerships with organizations like GNNSJ strengthen the country’s pursuit of peace, unity, and shared prosperity.
President Hichilema reaffirmed Zambia’s readiness to collaborate with GNNSJ in expanding initiatives that promote human dignity, education, and interfaith harmony.
