UNDER 17 Women’s National Team coach Carol Kanyemba has announced a 35-member provisional squad ahead of the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, set to take place in Morocco from 17 October to 8 November 2025.
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) confirmed the squad on its official Facebook page on Monday. Key players named include captain Mercy Chipasula, experienced defenders Nana Malanda, Natasha Nkaka, and Precious Mwape, midfield standout Taonga Mubanga, and striker Masela Sekeseke.
The Copper Princesses will return to the global stage in Group F, where they will face Japan, New Zealand, and Paraguay. Zambia’s campaign begins against Paraguay on 19 October, followed by a clash with Japan on 22 October.
Coach Kanyemba’s squad reflects a mix of experience and youth, aiming to build on Zambia’s growing reputation in women’s football. Preparations in the coming weeks will focus on tactical training, fitness, and team cohesion to ensure competitive performances on the world stage.
