Lusaka Motor Sports Club has announced Astro Holdings, through its associate companies Hyundai and Eicher, as the main sponsor of the 2025 National Rally Championship. The sponsorship injects K70,000 into the event’s K200,000 budget, boosting the championship’s profile and resources.
At the official launch held in Lusaka, club president Daison Mweene revealed that the third edition of the championship will be renamed the “Hyundai and Eicher National Rally 2025” to recognize the sponsor’s significant contribution.
Mweene described the event as a major milestone for the club. He highlighted the excitement around the upcoming rally, which promises to be one of the most anticipated motorsport events in the calendar. He expressed pride in securing Astro Holdings as a partner and said their involvement would enhance the event’s quality and reach.
This sponsorship is expected to improve event logistics, prize offerings, and overall experience for participants and fans. It also signals growing corporate interest in motorsport in Zambia, helping to develop the sport nationally.
