Raff Military Textile, a leading Turkish manufacturer in the defence and tactical textile sector, has taken a significant step towards strengthening its footprint in Africa with a high-level visit to Zambia. The move reflects the company’s growing commitment to building long-term partnerships within the continent’s defence and industrial landscape.

Led by General Manager Eray Yükseloğlu, the Raff Military Textile delegation is engaging with key Zambian defence and industry stakeholders. The discussions centre on aligning the company’s solutions with Zambia’s evolving defence needs and identifying areas for sustainable collaboration.

Yükseloğlu highlighted the importance of the Zambian market, citing its stable governance and clear institutional structure as key factors driving the company’s interest. “Zambia represents a country with a clear institutional structure and a stable outlook,” he said. “We are here not just to introduce ourselves, but to listen, understand, and see where we can genuinely contribute. Our aim is to build upon existing relationships with sincerity and strategic intent.”

Accredited by Turkey’s Presidency of Defence Industries (SSB), Raff Military Textile has earned a reputation for delivering custom-tailored tactical gear and uniforms to armed forces and security agencies across Africa and the Middle East. The company’s approach focuses on sustainability, local adaptation, and capacity-building, making it a preferred partner for countries seeking more than just procurement solutions.

Zambia has emerged as a priority destination within Raff’s Africa strategy, which targets the continent’s top five defence markets. The Lusaka visit marks a new chapter in the company’s expansion efforts, with officials exploring avenues for local production, technology transfer, and skills development.

Raff Military Textile’s engagement model emphasizes partnerships over transactional relationships, underlining its long-term vision for contributing to Zambia’s defence-industrial ecosystem. The visit signals a constructive and strategic approach to supporting Zambia’s defence sector while fostering economic growth through industrial collaboration.
