Zambian music duo Jack Lumbeta and Aristaeus Chronis, popularly known as Jay Trigga and Ari, paid a courtesy visit to the Football Association of Zambia deputy general secretary Iva Lengwe. The visit followed their recent participation in the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where they performed as part of the CAF Zones musical lineup.
During their interaction with FAZ staff, the duo shared memories from their AFCON experience and reflected on the opportunity to represent Zambia on an international stage. Their signature track, “Nationality,” earned them global recognition and secured their place as the only Zambian musical act performing at one of the tournament’s Fan Zones in Casablanca.
Jay Trigga and Ari also attended the matches, cheering for the Chipolopolo as they drew 1-1 with Mali in their opening Group A game. Despite their support, Zambia exited the tournament in the first round after drawing 0-0 with Comoros and losing 3-0 to hosts Morocco.
The visit highlighted the growing intersection between Zambian music and sports, with Jay Trigga and Ari emphasizing their pride in representing the nation and their commitment to promoting Zambian culture through music at major continental events.
