Zambia has been awarded Africa’s Most Vibrant Tourism Destination 2025 at the inaugural African Impact Awards, hosted by African Community Magazine in Stockholm on 15th November 2025. The recognition highlights Zambia’s exceptional natural resources, rich cultural heritage, and ongoing efforts to promote sustainable tourism.

Her Excellency Gladys Neven Lundwe, Ambassador of the Republic of Zambia to the Kingdom of Sweden, received the award on behalf of the country. In her acceptance speech, Ambassador Lundwe noted that the honour was jointly presented to Zambia and Zimbabwe, recognising their shared heritage of the majestic Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, located on the border between the two nations.

Ambassador Lundwe highlighted that from Victoria Falls to Zambia’s pristine national parks, the country offers diverse experiences including walking safaris, game drives, bird watching, mammal migrations, and professional hunting. She emphasized that Zambia’s natural beauty, combined with the warm and welcoming nature of its people and their commitment to preserving the environment and cultural heritage, makes the country a destination to both visit and cherish.

She added that the award reflects the collective efforts of the Zambian Government, local communities, tourism operators, and all Zambians who work to showcase the country on the global stage. The recognition comes with gratitude and a renewed commitment to further develop and promote Zambia’s tourism sector.

Zambia continues to position itself as a premier destination in Africa, inviting visitors to explore, enjoy, and experience the vibrant spirit of the country — The Real Africa.
