The Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA) is proudly participating in the inaugural Invest-Zambia International Conference (IZIC), taking place from July 16 to 18, 2025, at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka. This high-level event is a key platform for promoting Zambia’s untapped potential across various economic sectors, with tourism playing a central role.

As one of the country’s leading exhibitors, ZTA is using the conference to showcase the wealth of opportunities in Zambia’s thriving tourism sector. Delegates, investors, and stakeholders are invited to visit the ZTA stand to explore Zambia’s rich cultural heritage, world-renowned natural attractions, business tourism potential, and dynamic adventure offerings.

Zambia is emerging as one of Africa’s top tourism and investment destinations. From the iconic Victoria Falls—a UNESCO World Heritage Site—to 20 national parks teeming with wildlife, the country offers unmatched natural beauty and eco-tourism appeal. But beyond its scenic landscapes, Zambia also boasts a vibrant cultural scene, historical heritage sites, and growing infrastructure that supports business travel, events, and conferences.

At the ZTA exhibition stand, visitors can gain valuable insights from the Zambia Tourism Investment Guide, which outlines priority projects, government incentives, and sector-specific data designed to help investors identify high-impact tourism ventures. These include opportunities in eco-lodges, safari operations, heritage conservation, cultural tourism, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) tourism.

“This conference presents a timely opportunity to connect with potential investors and showcase why Zambia is the ideal destination for sustainable tourism investment,” said ZTA Chief Executive Officer Matongo Matamwandi. “Our country offers a peaceful environment, stable governance, and a clear vision for growth in tourism.”

The ZTA’s presence at IZIC underscores its commitment to driving tourism-led economic growth and positioning Zambia as a competitive destination on the global tourism map. As the conference brings together government leaders, private sector investors, and international partners, ZTA is ensuring that tourism remains a top priority for Zambia’s development agenda.

Visitors to the ZTA stand can also experience virtual tours, discover detailed destination information, and engage with experts on the country’s tourism strategy and partnerships.

With tourism identified as a key pillar in Zambia’s economic transformation, the Invest-Zambia International Conference offers the perfect platform to turn interest into investment—and ZTA is leading the way.
