After eight magical years of capturing the hearts and minds of viewers across the nation, Zuba will air its final episode in April 2025, marking the end of an era for Zambian television.

Since its debut in 2017, Zuba became an instant sensation, uniting audiences through its compelling storytelling, relatable characters, and rich cultural representation. The show not only dominated prime-time viewership but also sparked conversations and created unforgettable moments that will be cherished for years to come.

During its tenure, Zuba provided a platform for a vast array of talent, working with Zambian and African actors, directors, scriptwriters, cinematographers, makeup artists, and more. As the curtain falls, the final episode promises to be a powerful conclusion to Zuba’s journey, bringing closure to the characters that audiences have grown to love. Zambezi Magic Channel Head, Mosibudi Pheeha, reflected on the show’s impact, saying, “Zuba has been one of our flagship shows and has given us a sense of pride to champion. We launched eight years ago as Zambia’s first official telenovela, paving the way for many talents in the country and making a notable impact on the film and television industry.”

She also expressed gratitude to the cast and crew, stating, “Thank you to the incredible team who have produced an impeccable show for the past eight seasons. Zuba has solidified our channel as a leader in the industry and Multichoice as the greatest storyteller in Africa. We look forward to new opportunities and creating more magic as the channel continues to grow. Zikomo.

Fans can look forward to a special screening of two episodes on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, starting at 19:30 CAT, followed by the grand finale at 20:00 CAT on Zambezi Magic (DStv Channel 162 and GOtv Channel 3).
