Zambia received high praise from the World Fitness Federation (WFF) for successfully hosting the African qualifiers for the WFF World Championships. The event took place on Saturday night at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka and attracted over 150 competitors from 12 African countries.

More than 20 athletes earned places at the Cameroon World Championships scheduled for July next year. Among them were three Zambian bodybuilders who impressed judges with their performance. The qualifiers showcased a high level of competition and growing talent across the continent.

WFF World President Graeme Lancefield, who attended the event from Australia, commended Zambia for its organisation and the quality of the athletes. He highlighted the enthusiasm and potential of African bodybuilding, noting that the event set a new standard for the continent.

The successful hosting of the qualifiers reinforces Zambia’s position as a key player in African bodybuilding. The event also provides a platform for local athletes to gain international exposure and experience.

Organisers expressed confidence that the momentum from this event will boost participation in bodybuilding across Zambia and the region, strengthening the sport’s development ahead of the world championships in Cameroon.
