The Zambia Women’s National Volleyball Team has officially embarked on their journey to Gaborone, Botswana, where they will compete in the prestigious Ditsala International Cup. The tournament, scheduled to run from 30th May to 2nd June 2025, is organized by the Botswana Volleyball Federation in partnership with Bring It Promotions.
This marks a significant milestone for the Zambian side as they make their much-anticipated debut at the tournament, which features a formidable lineup of international teams. Among the competitors are four teams from the United States, as well as national squads from Botswana and Lesotho, promising a high-intensity showdown of talent and strategy.
The Ditsala International Cup is quickly becoming one of the most recognized platforms for competitive volleyball in Southern Africa. For Zambia, this tournament is not only an opportunity to showcase their growing talent but also a crucial step in their pursuit of regional and international recognition.
Speaking ahead of the team’s departure, head coach Arnold Simulezi expressed confidence in the squad’s preparation and determination. In a video shared by the Zambia Volleyball Association, Simulezi highlighted the team’s rigorous training schedule and team cohesion as key strengths going into the tournament.
“We have put in the work, and the players are ready. Our focus is not just participation—we are aiming for silverware,” Simulezi stated with conviction. His message echoed the spirit of a team that is hungry for success and determined to make a lasting impression on the international stage.
