FIFA President Gianni Infantino has extended warm congratulations to Keith Mweemba on his recent election as President of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ), marking the beginning of a new era in Zambian football leadership.

In a letter dated May 11, 2025, Infantino praised Mweemba’s passion and leadership qualities, expressing confidence in his ability to steer Zambian football toward greater success. Mweemba was elected during a reconvened elective Annual General Meeting held on May 9 in Kabwe, an event that concluded with wide optimism among football stakeholders in the country.

“Please accept my warmest greetings and sincerest congratulations for your recent election as President of the Football Association of Zambia,” Infantino wrote. “Your knowledge and leadership, your passion and experience will undoubtedly have an important impact on the development of our beautiful game in Zambia.”
