Vice-President Mutale Nalumango Embarks on Official Tour of Duty to Nigeria

Vice-President of the Republic of Zambia, Dr. W.K. Mutale Nalumango, departed for Nigeria yesterday on an official tour of duty. The Vice President was invited to Lagos by Access Bank, where she will serve as the Special Guest of Honour at the prestigious International Women’s Day (IWD) Conference. During her visit, she is expected to deliver a goodwill message at the conference, celebrating the contributions of women across the world.

According to a statement issued by her Press Aide, Njenje Chizu, Vice-President Nalumango’s visit will also include a series of bilateral meetings with various stakeholders. These discussions are aimed at strengthening ties between Zambia and Nigeria, focusing on areas of mutual interest and cooperation.

The Vice President’s participation in the IWD Conference comes at a significant time, as Zambia continues to champion women’s rights and empowerment, both at home and on the global stage. Her address is expected to focus on advancing gender equality, economic empowerment, and the role of women in leadership.

While in Nigeria, Dr. Nalumango will engage with high-level officials, diplomats, and business leaders to foster closer relations between the two nations.
