Standard Chartered Zambia Expands Investment in Women in Tech Program

In a significant step toward fostering gender inclusivity and economic empowerment, Standard Chartered Zambia has announced an additional USD 500,000 investment in its Women in Tech (WiT) program over the next three years. This initiative aims to support and empower women entrepreneurs and SMEs in the technology sector, helping them scale their businesses and drive innovation.

The announcement was made earlier today by Standard Chartered Zambia CEO, Sonny, during a courtesy call with the Republican Vice President, Hon. Mutale W.K Nalumango. This commitment underscores Standard Chartered’s dedication to promoting diversity, supporting women-led businesses, and fostering technological advancements in Zambia’s economy.

The Women in Tech program has been instrumental in equipping female entrepreneurs with financial support, mentorship, and business training to navigate the challenges of the tech industry successfully.
