Mumba was the flagbearer for Zambia at the 2012 Summer Olympics Opening and Closing Ceremonies
By the age of 18, Mumba had competed in the 2002 Commonwealth Games and in the 2002 World Junior Championships in Athletics
In 2016 he was featured in a commercial called “HOPE” for Footlocker’s “Real Lives x Real Runners” campaign, and a movie is currently being developed on his life
