  1. MC Wabwino (real name Mkunsha Chembe) is a singer, songwriter and energetic performer from Lusaka, Zambia.
  2. He is fondly known as ‘Mwana Wa Leya’ or the Elephant of Zambian Music.
  3. His secret to success is his ability to repeatedly constantly deliver the style loved by many.
  4. Wabwino is best known for hits such as ‘Kalijo’, ‘Opala Mama’ and ‘Nitole.
  5. He does not remember when he began singing but he reportedly loved the art of rhythm and poetry, melody and music beats.
  6. MC sings Zakwasu, a conglomerate of all that is pure and simple from everywhere.
  7. With more than eighteen albums under his belt, he has changed his line of music to preaching the word of God through music in January 2015.
  8. He has toured and performed not only in Zambia but in countries such as South Africa, Namibia, Malawi, DRC, Indiana, in the U.S., Australia and the U.K.
  9. Apart from music, he is also a comedian, business consultant, accountant and a farmer.
  10. He is the 2003 Ngoma award winner for the Best Male Performer and Best Video of the year category at the 2009 and 2011 Born & Bred Awards.
