Chisamba Lungu came on loan from his youth club Kafue FC to Zanaco FC from Lusaka, who played in the Zambian Premier League
In Zanaco, he played with coach Wesley Mondo alongside many other talented young players, including Banda Henry, Ignatius Lwipa, Rogers Kola, Yorum Mwila and Stophira Sunzu
In November 2008 went on trial alongside Nathan Sinkala as part of an Africa team at several test matches in Russia, which also included numerous European scouts
Lungu passed through all Zambian selection teams
For the CECAFA Cup in December 2010, Lungo was named by national coach Dario Bonetti for the first time in the Zambian national team
Under Bonetti’s successor, Hervé Renard, Lungu traveled to the training camp to India in November 2011 with a mainly active player in Zambia and recommended a place in the squad for the 2012 African Championship
In November 2018, Lungu signed for fellow Zambia Super League club Nkana
