10 Things you didn’t know about Jordan Katembula

  1. Jordan Katembula was born in 1978 in Ndola, Zambia
  2. He went to Chilengwa Basic School in Ndola for his junior school and Lubuto School for his secondary education
  3. Jordan started his music career in a group called New Age
  4. Then later he left the group and released his own debut album, the self-titled [JK] in 2001
  5. 2002, J.K. received a Ngoma Award as well as a KORA Award nomination
  6. Katembula also performed in South Africa and London
  7. In 2003 he a released titled, Helena and on one track, he performed a duet with the late Oliver Mtukudzi, a Zimbabwean musician
  8. He once again collaborated on one song with another musician from South Africa the late Hugh Masekele
  9. 2010, He released another album called Kapiripri titled after the single “Kapiripiri”
  10. The Album Kapiripiri was produced by Digital X, a Lusaka based studio. The “Kapilipili” music video received air play on MTVbase and channel-O.
